Graphic Design
This television ad mockup was created for my Photoshop class in early 2025. The assignment was to choose one of several different pre-selected prairie dog images, then feature the prairie dog in an ad for a television show that would likely be canceled before ever airing.
The purpose of the project is to showcase my skills with image framing and composition, as well as multi image compositing techniques with Photoshop.
I shot the background plate for this photo inside the "Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance" ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando. The foreground Stormtrooper was lifted from a photo I shot of patrolling characters outside the ride.
I used Photoshop to create the Lightsaber, the background blur to add depth of field, and to composite the finished image.
I produced this toy shoot at home, featuring featuring Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader action figures and a toy Imperial Shuttle photographed in front of a green screen, multiple blur layers to create depth of field, and special visual effects created in Photoshop for the Lightsabers and the clash contact flare/blur effect.
The Death Valley background for the image was taken from www.flickr.com/photos/ruggybear/53693501524 and used here in accordance with a Creative Commons license.
The Darksaber image began with a selfie that I took in front of my green screen, holding a toy Darksaber. I followed a tutorial I found online to create the Darksaber blade and energy pulses within the blade in Photoshop.
I shot the background image at night during one of my trips to Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios in Orlando. The blur effect for depth of field was added in post using Photoshop as well.
